Big Sur [11.x] Released on 12 November 2020
I have Mac OS Big Sur on an Intel based Mac, and am able to access CAC enabled websites using the native smart card, and adding the DoD certificates from step 5 on https://militarycac.com/macnotes.htm
Mac OS 11.xx.x would not read the "G+D FIPS 201 SCE 7.0" CAC with the SCR-3310 v2.0 reader with firmware Version below 6.02. So, if your reader is below 6.02, you may need to purchase a new reader.
I ordered a new Mac on 12 November 2020 with the non Intel chip (M1) my findings from this computer can be seen on this page. My only "fear" with the new chip is compatibility with Virtual Machines (running Windows for certain DoD websites)
Mac users who upgraded to Mac OS Big Sur (11.xx) need to uninstall all 3rd Party CAC enablers per https://militarycac.com/macuninstall.htmIf you purchased your Mac with Big Sur (Intel chip), you can skip the Macuninstall page, and go directly to the MacNotes page
